Jose Molina Obituary

Jose V. Molina, 91, passed away peacefully at home of natural causes, surrounded by family and his faithful companion, his dog Milo, on June 12, 2021.

Dad was born on August 18, 1929 in Fort Quitman, Texas to Santiago Molina and Piedad Valdez. From an early age, dad worked on farms and later worked a variety of jobs, including railroad, taxi driver, general labor and as a car salesman. Dad took great pride in the work that he did.

Dad married our mom, Albina Flores, on April 26, 1952 and they lived in Zaragosa, Chihuahua, Mexico; Midland/Odessa, Texas and Riverside, California at different times in their life.  In the mid-70’s, they decided to visit Idaho for what was supposed to be a temporary job for dad, but after being here for a couple of months, they decided this was a perfect place to finish raising their family. They had seven children: Jose F. Molina, Enrique (Juana) Molina, Santiago Molina, Alfredo (Lucy) Molina, Irma (Bill) Molina-Ruby, Elizabeth (Martin) Lopez, Armida (Pablo) Medina. Dad was preceded in death by our mom and two sons, Santiago and Enrique. He had numerous grandchildren: Lisa Molina, Juanita Molina, Irma B. Molina, Ida Rodriguez, Cristina Mata, Jose B. Molina, Rebecca Gomez, Fidel Molina, Enrique R. Molina, Rafael Molina, Johnny Molina, Isabel Rodriguez, Gloria Molina, Veronica Molina, Liliana Munoz, Jaye J Molina, Jeffrey Molina, Melisa Molina, J.R. Molina-Rodriguez, Joaquin Ruby, Valentin Lopez, Santiago Lopez, Anna Lopez, Mary Lopez, Samantha Molina Prieto, Victoria Molina Prieto, Anahi Molina Medina.  Dad had numerous great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren. Although dad did not voice it often, we know he loved and cared for his family very much.  Teresa Hernandez with Always Caring, Inc. became part of our family three years ago. She took such great care of dad in my home and I am eternally grateful to her.

Viewing will take place at Nampa Funeral Home on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 4pm – 6pm, followed by prayer of the Rosary at 6:00 pm being led by Ms. Dora Salinas.
