Judy A. (Schreiner) Bloomquist

Judy A. Bloomquist, 67, of Meridian, Idaho, went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2023. A Celebration of Life Service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, 150 W Maestra St. in Meridian, Idaho. Services are under the direction of Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel and Judy’s final resting place will be Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise, Idaho.

Judy was born on September 9, 1955 in Nampa, Idaho to George and Beverly Schreiner. She met and fell in love with Darrel Bloomquist while working at Nampa Drug Pharmacy in her teenage years. They were married on August 3, 1974 in Nampa, Idaho and moved to Pullman, Washington while Darrel pursued his doctorate and Judy worked as a medical secretary. While in Pullman, they gave birth to their first child, Jeffrey. Upon graduation, they relocated back to Meridian, Idaho where they had three more children, Laurie, Amy and Lisa. During Judy’s time back in the treasure valley, she served as the Boise Area Director for the Idaho Autism Association and volunteered extensively at her children’s schools and her church, Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene. Beginning in 1996, Judy volunteered over 10,000 hours for St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center setting up a medical patient services library and setting up their new gift shop.

While Judy loved her time volunteering and serving the community, her greatest joy and accomplishment was being a daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. She absolutely loved people and would do anything for them. In fact, her hobbies surrounded her ability to be with people that mattered to her including traveling, going to shows, and eating out with friends or family.

Judy is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Linda Schreiner; her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Bobby Kennedy; her son, Jeffrey Bloomquist; son-in-law, Daniel Holland and several through extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Beverly Schreiner; her husband, Darrel Blomquist; brother, David Schreiner; half-sister, Darlene Johnson; two daughters, Laurie Bloomquist and Lisa Holland and grandson, Milo Holland.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene, 150 W. Maestra St., Meridian, Idaho 83642.
