Kenneth Wayne Hinderliter of Nampa, Idaho, passed away on Thursday, September 2nd , 2021. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, September 11th, 2021, at Melba Friends Church, 301 Randolph Dr., Melba, Idaho, 83641.
Ken was born to Glen and Erma Hinderliter on May 1st, 1949 in Kingman, Kansas. Ken attended schools in Kansas and graduated from Wichita South High School. Afterwards he completed some collegiate studies at Wichita State University and diesel mechanic school in Salina, KS where he graduated in 1974. He married the love of his life, Connie Elaine Beverage on May 15th of 1971. Together, they raised two sons, Kurtis and Chris, in Wichita, Kansas. He loved his four fantastic grandchildren (Ethan & Hannah, Lily & Abigail) who “are the joy of my life”. He was proud to be blessed with two awesome daughters through marriage, Robin (Costa) and Jessica (Ellis). He used his expansive mechanical knowledge to work in tractor parts sales for most of his time in Wichita. In April of 2004, Ken and Connie moved to Nampa where Ken worked in parts sales and most recently (until he retired) at Magic Plumbing overseeing the warehouse.
Ken loved life, loved his family, loved the Lord, and loved connecting with people. He was often described as a big kid, and enjoyed many activities with his two boys. Together they played catch, raced RC cars, played games, participated in boy scouts, shot fireworks, hunted rocks, fished, explored, made up stories and laughed as much as possible. Ken and Connie recently celebrated their 50th anniversary and were an example of true love and commitment. Ken connected with people through work and play and never met a stranger. He loved to talk and he definitely loved to tease and joke. He carried on his playful personality to have endless fun with his grandkids.
Ken grew up in a believing family, and gave his heart to Jesus when he was young. He was not afraid to talk to others about his faith and loved being at the Melba Friends Church where his son Chris serves as pastor. He wanted everyone to know the goodness of the Lord even when times were difficult. He talked about his passing someday and stated that he wanted everyone to know his forwarding address (meaning heaven) and how to get there.
Ken is survived by his wife Connie, sons Kurtis (Robin) of Fallbrook, CA, and Chris (Jessica) of Melba, ID, four grandchildren-Ethan, Hannah, Lily, and Abigail, and countless dear friends and coworkers.
