Lois Evelyn Dancer, 88, of Nampa, passed away at home on April 19, 2022. She was born to the late Elmer and Evelyn Sundquist on August 1, 1933, in Tomahawk, Wisconsin. Lois grew up in Dallas, Oregon and Camas Valley, Oregon, where she met her future husband Jerry when they both enrolled in high school on the same day. She married Jerry Dancer in 1951, and they celebrated 70 years of marriage in 2021. Lois and Jerry moved to Meridian, Idaho in 1966, and started Das-Co Construction in 1970, where Lois served as bookkeeper until retiring in 1990. They lived in Star, Adrian, and Nampa.
Lois is survived by her loving husband Jerry Dancer, her four children and their spouses: Norris and Jana Dancer of Star, Idaho; Lurina and Bob Egusquiza of Hamilton, Montana; Diane Dancer and Ron Juve of Sammamish, Washington; and Stuart (Buster) and Patty Dancer of Boise, Idaho. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, and her brother Bill Sundquist of Camas Valley, Oregon.
Lois was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and thoroughly enjoyed her family, who she always put first. She was an accomplished bookkeeper and homemaker, and enjoyed spending time at the cabin, fishing, traveling, and gardening. Lois was a loyal supporter of Boise State, and enjoyed many years cheering various teams. She also loved her many fishing trips with Jerry, especially to Telegraph Cove, British Columbia. But mostly, Lois loved family gatherings of all sorts, and will be greatly missed at future ones.
A private graveside service will be held in the Star Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel where an online guest book and full obituary is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
