Michael Christian Devereaux, 76, of Nampa, died on February 22, 2019.
He was born on July 6, 1942 in St Louis, MO, the son of Leroy and Virginia Devereaux.
Michael started his life in the Midwest and ended up in Southern California where he attended California High School. He chose a career in law enforcement and honorably served his community as a Los Angeles county deputy sheriff. He also served his country in the US Army.
He has lived a quiet life in Idaho for 36 years. Michael was a devoted husband and father and was known for his generous spirit and sage advice. He was also known for his story telling and funny quotes.
He is survived by his wife Helen of Nampa Idaho; five daughters, Jaime, Janine, Jenifer, Jill and Adrean; 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; his brother Steve Devereaux of Eugene, OR; 2 nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and sister, Nancy.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa.
