Michael Hackney, 83 of Nampa went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2021. A celebration of his life service will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel 415 12th Avenue S. Nampa, Id. Mike was born on June 9, 1938, in Nampa, ID to Josh and Fern Hackney. He spent his younger years in Nampa, New Plymouth and Bremerton, WA. Mike worked for the Free Press delivering papers, Union Pacific as a lineman, truck driving for Feed Service and ended his career delivering mail to the Jordan Valley area. He served in the Marine Corp. Reserve from 1956 to 1959 (Semper Fi). On February 8,1958 he married Patricia Diggs and they spent 63 eventful years together. The family survived many camping trips, Glenn Miller playing at 6 A.M. on Sundays and going 4 wheeling in the family 4 door.

Mike is survived by his wife; Patricia, sister; Marge Finch, 4 kids Mike (Sue), Thelma, Jerry (Becky) and Shelly; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, a son; Terry, brother; Gary, and numerous other family members.
