Norman Herringshaw, 91 of Nampa was born in Hoytville, Ohio in 1930 and passed away on July 20, 2022 at his home just four days prior to his 92nd birthday. Norm moved to Malin, Oregon with his family in 1940 where he helped his father and older brothers farm. After high school he joined the Navy in 1950 and was overseas during the Korean War. In 1958 Norm married Lois Renschler in Portland, Oregon. He became an electrician and worked throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California before relocating to Arizona. In 1974 Norm and his wife, Lois, moved to Walnut Creek, California along with their two children, Rodney and Barbara. While residing in Walnut Creek, Norm worked on several commercial electrical projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Norm is known for his quick wit, friendliness, and generosity. He enjoyed hunting deer and elk and working in his yard and garden.
Norm is survived by his wife, Lois; son, Rodney Herringshaw and daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and David Fudim and a brother, Tom. Norm was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Charlotte “Lottie”; sisters, Gladys and Edna; and brothers, Ora, John, Ab, Arthur, Bob, Jim, Dale, and Howard.
A Celebration of Norm’s life will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel, 415 12th Ave. So. – 208-442-8171 with military honors by personnel from the US Navy.
