Rosetta Crofoot Obituary

Rosetta (Roz) May Crofoot of Nampa Idaho passed away on December 16, 2020, at the age of 91.

Roz was loved by her children Edward G., George (Patricia), Kathleen (Jim), Bill, Jeani, and Terri.  She was adored by her grandchildren all over the world Stephanie (John), Harmony, Edward (Malissa), Zachariah (Jessica), James (Courtney), Sammy, Austin, Joshua, and her great-grandchildren Mikayla (Levi), Brayden, Gillian, Charleigh, Maverick, Crossley, great-great-grandchildren Brinley and Ellianna, devoted niece Eileen.  She was preceded in death by husband Edward W., her son Edward G. and brothers Clifford and Franklin (aka Punch).

Roz was born in Georgetown IL to Sam and Maggie Gill in 1929. She went on to work in the city of Chicago for the Smitt Lithograph Co and it was there she met her husband Edward, before moving to Crystal Lake IL, to begin their life together.  Their lives took them on many journeys that included stops in Woodstock, IL, Colorado Springs, Co, Nampa ID, and Boise, ID.  After the passing of her husband she moved to Vancouver, WA, and later returned to Nampa, ID to be close to family and friends.

Roz was proud of her time spent as a member of the United States Naval Women’s Reserve, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and the Red Hat Ladies.  She also spent many years preparing lunches for the children of the Boise School system. Roz had the pleasure of enjoying two trips to Australia to visit daughter Kathleen and her family.  She enjoyed reading Harlequin romance novels, although she always insisted she would skip over the naughty parts. But she loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and friends and visiting with them on the phone when they could not be together in person.
