Sandy Sue (Humiston) McCoy

Sandy Sue McCoy passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022.  Sandy was born March 19, 1965, in Nampa, Idaho to Glen and Sandra Humiston.  She grew up in Melba on the family farm.  She attended the Melba schools and graduated from high school in 1983.  She went on to graduate from Boise State University with a degree in Finance. 

Sandy did various jobs, including working in group homes for the disabled and waitressing.  She eventually took a position with the postal service as a carrier and worked her way up into the office.  In 2004, she married Randy McCoy.    

Sandy was always a country girl.  She loved the farm she grew up on and she spent most weekends keeping it up.  She enjoyed traveling and fishing was one of her main passions.  She traveled far and wide to enjoy fishing with friends and family.   

She enjoyed animals of all types and had many dogs, cats, chickens, and other birds over the years.  Some of her fondest memories were of her beloved basset hound, Chuck.  She had a heart of gold for animals and people.  She never had a problem giving help to anyone in need.  She will be missed by all. 

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Sandra Humiston and her husband Randy McCoy.  She is survived by her stepson Heath McCoy, her brother Todd Humiston, his wife Anna, and his stepson Caimen.  She also had close ties to many friends including Liz Brown, Trish Gramps and her daughters whom Sandy considered granddaughters, and so many others.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel. An online guest book is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
