Those that we have held in our arms for a little while, we will hold in our hearts forever.
Our cherished and beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and dear friend left this life to journey on to the next on Monday April 25, 2022, at the young age of 22.
Talon Bradrick Robin was born on January 14th, 2000, in Boise, Idaho to Eric Robin and Nicole Hanks (Robin) of Nampa Idaho. Talon was always ready and willing to experience an adventure and being born was no exception, making his debut a few weeks ahead of schedule. As a young child Talon’s favorite thing to do was to chase, follow, and torment his older siblings and spend time with his cousins. From infancy, camping and boating was a big part of Talon’s childhood, spending several weeks each summer camping, swimming, four-wheeling and exploring the great outdoors with his family.
Of the many destinations that Talon visited during his adventures, his self-proclaimed favorite place on earth was Deadwood Reservoir, whether he was swimming in the lake with his cousins, hiking with his parents and siblings, or just sitting around the campfire roasting whatever sweets suited his fancy. Talon was always eager for the opportunity to leave the hustle of daily life behind in favor of the annual family camp spot. Here, Talon made countless memories with his family, solidifying Deadwood’s special place in his heart.
As Talon got older his interests turned to the extra-curricular activities of sports and band. Through Optimist Football, while not his forte’, Talon learned to appreciate the tenants of hard work and dedication that allowed him to exceed at the sport that would define him through his teenage years, Basketball. Talon played basketball for his school all throughout his high school career. It didn’t matter if it was a one-on-one game in the driveway with his mom or stepdad, a street game with friends, or a competitive high school game, Talon was always down to play a game of hoops. If he wasn’t shooting hoops, he could be found hanging out with his closest friends John, Travis and their families. Academically, Talon was also a gifted math student, excelling in physics and engineering at Boise State University.
Talon graduated from Ridgevue High School in 2018. At this time Talon was employed at Wahooz Family Fun Zone in Meridian, a job he loved and excelled at. During his six years at Wahooz, he carried many titles; friend, colleague, manager, leader, and confidant. He possessed a unique ability to develop and nurture diverse friendships wherever he went, allowing him to excel and standout within the Wahooz family.
While not a religious man, he was very spiritual. He knew that this life wasn’t all the universe has to offer, he spoke often about the next life as simply being the “next big adventure”. Talon’s mind, soul, and spirit were prepared and at peace in his final moments. As this journey came to a close, he was very much excited to experience the next. In this his family and loved ones are finding peace.
A man of his word, strong and pure of heart, he loved unconditionally with a soulful maturity beyond his years. He was, and will always be, the best of all of us.
“A strong person is not the one who doesn’t cry. A strong person is one who is quiet and sheds tears for a moment, and then picks up their sword and fights again”
