Wanda Perrigan Obituary

Wanda Laverne Coble Perrigan, age 99, died Tuesday, February 13, 2024, after a blessed long life and courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 9, 1925, in Baker City, Oregon, to Lloyd Coble and Alma Pratt Coble.

Wanda was preceded in death by her grandparents, George Coble and Leah Davis Coble; parents, Lloyd and Alma Coble; son, Joe Perrigan; father of her children, Howard Perrigan; brother, Warren Coble and sister-in-law Vi Coble - their daughter and Wanda’s niece, Natalie Coble Allen and great-granddaughter, Melissa Perrigan (daughter of Michael Perrigan).

Wanda grew up in Newbridge, Oregon, graduated from Richland, Oregon High School and went on to attend Eastern Oregon College in LaGrande, for 1 year. After that year, she and a friend traveled to Los Angeles and worked in an aircraft factory during WWII. While there, she met Howard Perrigan who was in the Navy, and she told her friend that she was “going to marry that man one day!” They married in 1944.

The family lived in New Bridge, OR, Rawlings, WY, Canoga Park, CA, Oceanside, CA and finally ended up back in Nampa, Idaho in 1962. Wanda worked for First Security Bank in old downtown Nampa for nearly 25 years. She was very involved at First Church of the Nazarene, leading the singles group and then moved over to North Nampa Church of the Nazarene, now known as Lakeview Church of the Nazarene, leading the Crafty Ladies Fellowship. She is fondly remembered for her care for others and always putting others above herself! She was a true follower of Christ and we have the peace of knowing that she is in Heaven now!

Wanda is survived by daughter, Helen (Kenny) Wright and their children, Debbie (Kyle) Rosin; Tammy Wright, Wendy (Tom) Rotarius; son, Vernon (Dee) Perrigan and their children, Michael (Sheila) Perrigan, Tonya (William) McMilian, Nicholas (Autumn) Brannam and Brian (Mandy) Brannam; nephews, Ron Coble and Dwayne (Becky) Coble, Natalie’s daughter, Roselyn (Steve) Kirkman; Great Grandchildren: Amber Bishop, Jason Bishop, Cassidy Wright, Tomas McMilian, Takoda McMilian, Nash McMilian, Corra Brannam(Ryan), Brea Brannam, Brayden Brannam, Kennedy Brannam, Vadalia Brannam, Percy Brannam, Iris Brannam, Taylor Brannam, Jackson Brannam and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Keystone doctors, nurses and their help with hospice, with making Wanda comfortable and her passing peaceful! Also, thanks go to St. Alphonsus cancer center for their loving care and treatment.

Her celebration of life service will be on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Lakeview Church of the Nazarene, 608 14th Ave N, Nampa, ID 83687. There will be a viewing at 8am and the service at 9am. Family and friends will then travel to Newbridge, OR Church of the Nazarene for a short service at Wanda’s request to have her last church service in the church where her Mother, Alma, first took her to Sunday school via a little red wagon. Interment will follow at the Eagle Valley Cemetery in Richland, OR
