William Augustus "Bill" Hamilton

The Earthly journey of William Augustus Hamilton (Bill) ended May 15, 2023. He was born in Portland Oregon on January 26, 1948. Moved his family to Nampa in 1984. He served his country during the Vietnam war. To provide for his family Bill held a variety of jobs, always climbing the ladder of success.

Always a tease, he had great joy in his children and their steadfast work ethic. When the grandchildren were around, he really lit up.

Getting help for veterans kept Bill occupied. He always thought there was someone worse off than himself.

He is survived by his wife, Sue, of 52 ½ years; Children: Carolyn (John) Greener, Christa (Tom) Pomtier, Eric (Cyndee) Hamilton, Bill D. (Shanna) Hamilton, Brian Hamilton and Pete Hamilton. GRANDchildren: Hamiltons; Gus, Michael (Taya Hoffman), William (great grand Pasiliegh), Emilee, Alex, Cooper, and Alice. Pomtiers; Richie (Elorah, great grand Weston), Rachel (Arian Roode), and Sara.

Bill will be buried at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho with military honors at 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 5, 2023. Arrangements are under the direction of the Nampa Funeral Home, Yraguen Chapel where an online guest book and full obituary is available at www.nampafuneralhome.com
