Rebecca “Becky” Evelyn Gervais

Rebecca “Becky” Evelyn (DeCoux) Gervais, age 72, passed away peacefully in her home in Nampa on Thursday, February 9, 2017.

Becky was born in Orange County, California on September 6, 1944 and has many fond memories of growing up in Southern California when it was a “paradise”. During high school she met and married a dashing young man named Henry Gervais and they remained married for 53 years.

In 1976, Henry and Becky made a bold decision and moved their young family to Nampa, Idaho as California was no longer the “paradise” of her youth.

Becky worked in various retail positions and “enjoyed them all” because she loved people and serving them. She had the opportunity to travel extensively with her family; visiting every state (except Alaska) and a trip to Germany. She was an avid gardener and gifted homemaker.

By her own admission, her proudest accomplishment was that of raising her two sons and staying present and active in their lives as well as the lives of her beloved grandkids.

Becky was the best mother imaginable and was greatly loved by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She had a kind and generous spirit and will be deeply missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry J. Gervais and her parents, David and Dale DeCoux.

She is survived by her loving family; sons, David (Petra) Gervais and Timothy (Diana) Gervais; and grandchildren, Cory Gervais, Sabina (Shawn) Tomich, Michael Gervais, Christian Gervais and Noah Gervais.
